My life changed drastically at 19 years old when I woke up sick one day and never got better. Four and a half years later I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease, Babesia, and Bartonella, along with conditions caused by these bugs like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and New Daily Persistent Headache. These infections have reshaped my life more than I ever thought possible influencing everything from my social life, education, working ability, and even where I live. There have been a lot of tough times and I’ve lost a lot to this monster of a disease but it has also given me a lot. Had I not become ill, I probably never would have learned how much I enjoy writing, let alone start a blog!

Currently my life is a pretty simple one revolving around my mission to remission. I have an amazing family and some incredibly caring friends who provide support through every step. I am an aunt, a daughter, a sister, grandchild, niece, and friend. I am also a mama to my sweet pup, Sophie, and spunky cat, Glitter.

I believe that a wonderful, powerful God is my creator and he makes broken things beautiful. I know that this struggle is not in vain and there will be amazing things come from it, which is why I began sharing my story. My writing journey began with several published articles on The Mighty and has continued on to become my most effective way of expressing the thoughts I have on all kinds of topics. My hope for this blog is that it can touch someone’s life in a positive way and provide an opportunity to share God’s great love.
